Skinny Recipe: Lemon Basil Pasta with Blackened Grilled Chicken



I did work in the gym today so I was ravished for carbs come dinner time.
I managed to forgo 17 Oreos and threw together one of my favorite quick, filling, low cal recipes.

It comes in at 336 calories a serving! Taste guilty but entirely innocent.

Recipe

Ingredients:
1 pkg whole wheat spaghetti
9oz Grilled and Ready Tyson Chicken Breast Strips
3 garlic cloves
1 fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
4 tbs shredded Parmesan cheese
3 tsp basil
1tbs freshly ground pepper


Instructions:

1. Cook spaghetti according to instructions.

2. While spaghetti is cooking, heat a nonstick pan and cook chicken strips until slightly blackened.

3. When spaghetti is aldente, turn off heat, drain, put back in pot and add oil, garlic,lemon, Parmesan, basil and ground pepper.

4. Plate the pasta, add the chicken and mow down :]


I'm a lemon fanatic! I like the sweet tartness in desserts and the fresh, brightness it adds to a dinner dish. Plus it's packed with flavor and no regret. 
Winning.
